You shouldn't restrict people to chose an exact country. This is a game. You just have to secure people dont take second team and cheat. And this job you created is an entertaining business. Let people to chose whether they move or not. I like and enjoy the game the way it is. Maybe i wont be happy with the movement of the club, maybe i shouldnt have chose NZ when i registered. But i liked it that way. The idea of "rest of the world" seems very cold to me and so i feel NZ more close to me not because of "all blacks" but also many personal reasons. (i've only saw new zealanders in the gallipoli wars anniversary in gallipoli, canakkale. And i have respected them they didnt forget their ancasters died thousands miles away. I've feel the nonsense of the war like the way they felt. We've also lost many souls in that sacred area for us. We both remember our ancasters together. I've always felt close to nz since that moment of my life) it maybe seems weird to you but it is like that really. If i saw "Turkey" in the list i would chose but i know that it will never happen in near future. Unfortunately there are very few people here to love rugby like me.

what about the league level? can you move a team from the same level of league to another? for example if i win the 2nd level league of NZ at the end of season, can you move my team directly to top level rest of world league? What if all the places for a new team is busy at the moment and you move my team to 2nd level of league although i won 2nd level league? Then that will be the biggest unfair action at that moment... And was it fair that you selected New Zeeland when you registered although on the register page it is written: "If your country is not in the list choose "Rest of World"." ? But this isn't a final decision. Maybe I won't move teams who already registered in another country. I registrered for South-Africa but I live in Belgium, so I'm not in the league "rest of the world", but 30% of the year I live in South-Africa ;D

I've updated the countries list. I downloaded the country list from an website when I launched the game and there were a lot of islands that aren't countries. Now there are 195 countries. I had a doubt whether to add Kosovo or not, but I didn't added. Now I want to make some changes with players nationality. Right now, there are only 12 nationalities (romanian, english, french, ... , rest of world). From now on, when users will register they will recieve players with the same nationality as theirs. There will be a only exception: IF the user doesn't register in his country (eg. an user who selected French nationality registers in Italy => he will get Italian players, an user who selected Afghanistan and registers in England not in Rest of World => he will get english players). I'll try to make a database with first/last names for players of each nationality, although I'll probably finnish it in 2-3 years. This way, if you register in Rest of World and you select you nationality Afghanistan, you will get players not only with afghan nationality but also with afghan names. The advantage of this will be that when I'll create a new league there won't be necesary to change players nationality, names ... and the process will be a lot quicker.
In a few days, probably tomorrow, I'll ask all the users who didn't registered in their country if they want to be moved to their original country. If not, there's no problem ... but from the 2nd season, users who don't register in their country will be moved by administrators.

Well I have an idea that was implemente in another rugby management game when they added new countries to the game. What they did is they gave the chance to the existing teams to move countries if they wish. They changed their nationalities but kept the names of the players. I know it might be weird to have a Spanish player with English name but we can live with it. From then on, the names of the new players would be from their own countries (so Spanish names for spanish leagues, and Italian names for Italian leagues) Regarding their nationalities I liked the way they managed it and it was as following: If the player has ever played for any national team or U20 team they will keep their nationality. The only players that will change nationalities will be those that have been in your club from the beggining, so say that you bought a player in the transfer market, he will keep his nationality intact.
Going back to teams that want to move countries I would give a one chance to when the new countries are implemented. From then on if a team wants to move to another country (maybe some teams want to conquer as many leagues as possible) they should be penalised by maybe starting at the lowest division and the loss of a percentage of it´s members. Also their players will not change nationalities.
I believe this will allow current teams that were not able to choose their own country to move freely without penalization. On the other hand after the new countries have been implemented if a team wants to move to another country it should be penalised in order to avoid constant movement between different leagues. That way only the teams that really have a lot of interest in moving countries will accept the penalization for doing so, as no one wants to start over again from the lowest division and fewer members.
Maybe you could also ask for a minimum time spent playing the game (say 3 seasons for example) to move countries (after the change has been made of course) in order to avoid new teams to move around countries all the time without any penalization as they already start at the lowest division with few members.
What do you think about it? Sorry for the long post
P.D.: I just read your last post and I have a question. I am a Spanish user (I don´t remember if I registered as such) but I like playing at the New Zealand league and even if Spanish league was created I would like to stay were I am. Will I be forced to changed as it is said at the end of your post? I think it would be a bit unfair, that´s why I think that giving the chance to every team to choose, as I suggest above, would be a much better idea that would satisfy everyone

When a new country is added there will be a lot easier to move teams from 'Rest of World' to that country because: Players from Rest of World won't have nationality 'Rest of World'. Now they'll have the nationality of their owner (a user from Fiji will have fijian players). Read more: rugbyspirit.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=173#ixzz1jREZx2e0If a user wants to move from a league to another he will need to contact me. I will delete his first team and he will need to register again. Users who registered in other countries in the 1st season won't be moved.

You should make an Iberian league for Spanish and Portuguese players, Since I don't think we have enough active players to make one for each country.
